Year 4 Long Term Plan

Autumn

I Am Warrior

In this History based topic, children learn about and compare the Roman and the Celt cultures and warfare tactics. They will understand chronology, and study key individuals.

Spring

Misty Mountain, Winding River

This Geography topic teaches children about the characteristics and features of rivers and mountain ranges around the world, including a detailed exploration of the ecosystems and processes that shape them and the land around them. Where will you end up?

Summer

Burps, Bottoms and Bile

This Science topic focuses on developing children’s knowledge of the digestive system in this Science topic. Children learn about teeth, bodily functions, healthy eating and, of course, poo. Excuse me!

Traders & Raiders

In this History based topic, children will develop knowledge of Britain’s early invaders and settlers. Children learn about Anglo-Saxon and Viking culture, chronology and key events.
